Second graders listened to Ms. Storrie read The Library Dragon by Carmen Agra Deedy. The main character of the story is all fired up about the way students care for books in the library. She is so hot and bothered that she closes the library to keep any kids from touching her precious books! However, after one girl accidentally wanders into the library and reignites students' love of listening to stories, the library dragon undergoes a major transformation. After reading the story, students brainstormed excellent ways to protect library materials. Students, what is one way to take good care of books from the library? |
